The Centre for Vision in the Developing World works closely with a number of organisations to improve our research and assist in practical efforts to bring vision correction to all.

Global Vision 2020 is dedicated to bringing corrective eyeglasses to the more than one billion people in the developing world who would benefit from them through a combination of methods - using self-adjustable eyeglasses that allow users to correct their own vision in places where access to optometrists is limited or non-existent, and using the established distribution networks and expertise available through the world's aid and development organizations by providing glasses and training at little or no cost to them.

The Centre for Vision in the Developing World works closely with Global Vision 2020 to provide scientific support and evaluation for vision correction and also for the Centre's research deployments of glasses in the developing world, such as our recent work in Liberia.
